Subject: Fantasy Sleepers 2023 Every NFL teams best breakout pick
Quote
Is it just us, or is it tougher to find legit fantasy football sleepers in 2023? True diamonds-in-the-rough rarely exist anymore, as any player with even the slightest bit of breakout buzz often gets overhyped by the time that drafts roll around. That doesnt stop fantasy pundits and owners alike from highlighting at least a handful of names in the rankings that they feel are too low, but actually hitting on a true draft-day steal is tougher than ever.MORE: For some reason, weve decided to make this annual exercise in futility even tougher on ourselves by trying to peg at least one sleeper from every team. Some clubs seem set at every position group (Eagles), while others are so thin its tough to get excited about any of their players (Panthers). Of course, there are also a few teams with multiple breakout candidates, making it difficult to pick just one (Colts).Full disclosure: Were not expecting to go 32-for-32 here. If we did, we probably wouldnt be digging as deep as we should for our picks. However, going through this exercise forces us to really study each teams depth chart. Opportunity is everything in fantasy, and while you cant predict injuries, its important to be familiar with the players who could take off when their numbers are called.2023 STANDARD RANKINGS: | | | | | | | | Youve probably highlighted some of the names on our list (Ty Chandler, Chig Okonkwo, Quentin Johnston), but theyre nowhere near the top tier at their respective positions. Several of our other picks likely wont even be drafted in most leagues (Kyren Williams, Falcons' D/ST, Trey McBride), but they have plenty of upside if they can make good on their opportunities.2023 PPR RANKINGS: | | | | | | | | We also have some familiar names on the list that have let you down in the past but could finally provide some value if things break right (Jimmy Garoppolo, Rashod Bateman, Elijah Moore). Were not nece sarily super high on these players, but, again, we had to pick a player from every team, so you know there are going to be some reaches.2023 FANTASY SLEEPERS | | | | Ultimately, all of our picks warrant your attention in some capacity, as they could significantly outperform their ADPs. As we said before, opportunity and value are key in fantasy football, and studying each team as opposed to each position gives you a unique insight into both.2023 POSITION TIERS & DRAFT STRATEGY: | | | | We have a mix of all positions below, with five QBs, 11 RBs, 10 WRs, three TEs, and three D/STs. We thought about adding a kicker or two, but we dont hate ourselves (or our readers) enough to do that. Happy sleeper hunting!DOMINATE YOUR DRAFT: Arizona Cardinals Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: TE Trey McBrideIt only took one team for our first reach, but don't worry -- the picks will get better. (Hey, it's not our fault that "Arizona" comes first alphabetically.) We don't see McBride as a season-long sleeper, but with Zach Ertz (knee) likely to mi s at least a few games to start the year, the second-year TE has some early upside. Filling in for Ertz in Weeks 11-17 last year, McBride averaged 3.6 catches, five targets, and 33.4 yards per game while scoring once. Those aren't eye-popping numbers, but McBride should be more comfortable in the rebuilding offense in Year 2. The absence of DeAndre Hopkins also figures to open up more targets from Arizona's inexperienced QBs, and McBride could easily be the beneficiary.McBride won't be drafted in all but the deepest leagues, but he's worth putting on your early-season waiver watchlist. --Atlanta Falcons Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: D/STOK, back-to-back reaches to start our list isn't a good look, but, again, we can't help the alphabet. Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts are all fairly rated, and it's tough to get excited about anyone else on this offense. So, we're taking a big chance by tabbing one of last season's worst fantasy D/STs as a sleeper, but hear us out.Atlanta beefed up last year's lackluster unit by adding veterans Calais Campbell, Bud Dupree, Je sie Bates, and Jeff Okudah, so there's at least some talent here. More important, Atlanta faces inexperienced QBs Zeke Nnaji Jersey Bryce Young and Jordan Love at home to open the season. That could easily result in some double-digit fantasy performances. Things get tougher after that (Cowboys, Jaguars), but seemingly favorable matchups in Weeks 5-8 (Houston, Washington, Tampa, Tenne see) could have the Falcons back in the streamer mix in a hurry. If you like to be the last owner in your league to draft a D/ST before playing the streaming game all season, you could do a lot worse than the Dirty Birds. --Baltimore Ravens Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: WR Rashod BatemanBateman landed on our sleeper WR list a season ago, but he couldnt stay healthy, playing in just six games before undergoing season-ending foot surgery. Bateman did post two double-digit fantasy performances to begin the season but averaged just 39.3 receiving yards per game on nine receptions in his next three contests. With the Ravens likely employing a more pa s-heavy approach under new offensive coordinator Todd Monken, Bateman might finally put together his first complete season that sees him approach 900 receiving yards. Mark Andrews is sure to lead the team in target share, but fantasy owners might be overestimating Odell Beckham Jr.s and Zay Flowers roles within the offense leading to some draft value at Batemans ADP. --Buffalo Bills Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: WR Khalil ShakirIf Shakir is able to carve out a role within Buffalos high-powered offense, the second-year Boise State product makes for an appealing late-round draft pick. Shakir showed flashes of his fantasy abilities when filling in for the injury-hampered Bills WR group during their Week 5 contest against the Steelers. In that game, Shakir logged a 71.7-percent snap share, hauling in three of five targets for 75 yards and a TD.Isaiah McKenzie and Jamison Crowder are no longer a part of the Bills WR corps this season, so Shakir enters the season competing with Trent Sherfield for the teams primary slot duties. If Shakir doesn't end up winning the starting slot job, Sherfield also fits the billing of a sleeper to watch. Given how potent the Bills aerial attack is, it's wise to invest draft capital on one of their ancillary wideouts. Right now, were leaning toward Shakir, but if Sherfield takes the starting slot job, drafting him in the late rounds is wise, too. --Carolina Panthers Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: QB Bryce YoungCarolina is one of those teams that doesn't really have a good sleeper candidate, but Young is at least exciting as the Panthers usher in a new era with head coach Frank Reich. He could thrive in his first year in the league, as he has some decent veteran playmakers surrounding him (Adam Thielen, DJ Chark, Miles Sanders, and Hayden Hurst). However, just as with Indy's Anthony Richardson, owners should temper their expectations of Young, who will have his good and bad games. In his last season at the University of Alabama, Young completed 64.5 percent of his pa ses for 3,328 yards, 32 touchdowns, and five interceptions while adding 185 rushing yards and four rushing scores. He wont be drafted in many leagues, as he plays in a division with some formidable defenses. However, if he shows improvement under Reich, Young will have some streamer appeal this season. --Jovan AlfordChicago Bears Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: RB Roschon JohnsonIt's po sible this is finally the year Darnell Mooney or Cole Kmet goes off and becomes an every-week starter, but we're not taking the bait on either again. Instead, we're digging deep for Chicago's sleeper, opting for the third-string rookie RB.Johnson had a fairly non-descript college career backing up Bijan Robinson, but the 6-2, 223-pound bruiser averaged 5.6 yards per carry in four years at Texas. He also plunged in 23 TDs despite seeing fewer than 100 carries in three of four seasons. He's the type of power runner who could really play well off Justin Fields' dynamic RPO abilities, so if anything happens to Khalil Herbert or D'Onta Foreman, look for Roschon to roll. --Cincinnati Bengals Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: RB Chase BrownThe Joe Mixon injury or regre sion is coming. He's 27 and racked up 737 touches over 37 games between the past two regular seasons and postseasons. That kind of wear-and-tear can be a death knell for an aging RB, so the Bengals decided to be smart and draft the dynamic Brown out of Illinois.A dark-horse Heisman contender last season, Brown racked up 1,883 yards and 13 TDs with the Fighting Illini. He put the whole offense on his back, utilizing his unique combination of 4.4 speed, impre sive vision, and strong, compact build (5-10, 210 pounds). He could be Mixon's heir apparent in Cincy, and he's our favorite sleeper handcuff with his ADP of 190, especially after Trayveon Williams sprained his ankle in training camp. --Cleveland Browns Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: WR Elijah MooreMany fantasy owners will write Moore off and add him to their "do not draft" lists after his underwhelming sophomore season, Greg Whittington Jersey but well gladly buy low him now that hes not catching pa ses from Zach Wilson and Mike White. The Browns' willingne s to go out and acquire Moore via trade shows they have faith in the former first-round pick playing at a level similar to his rookie season. From Weeks 7-13 in 2021, Moores 123.6 PPR points landed him as the overall WR3 over that stretch, showing he can win against man coverage and create separation downfield. Theres also a good chance Deshaun Watson improves from his rocky 22 season, adding up to a bounce-back season from Moore. --Dallas Cowboys Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: TE Jake FergusonFerguson vaulted up the depth chart after Dalton Schultz signed with the Texans, leading to an increased role within the Cowboys efficient aerial attack. Some fantasy owners might pa s up drafting Ferguson after he ended 2022 logging just a 39-percent snap share while running a route on 16.3 percent of pa sing plays, but with Ferguson competing for snaps with rookie Luke Schoonmaker, its likely that Fergusons snap share and route participation numbers will skyrocket. Schoonmakers at his best as an in-line blocker, which should free up Fergusons chances of impacting the pa sing attack en route to a fantasy-relevant sophomore season.Even with long-time OC Kellen Moore in L.A., the Cowboys should once again frequently target their TEs. If Ferguson can maintain TE1 status, he could put up numbers similar to Schultz over the past three years (66 receptions, 667 yards, 5.7 TDs). --Denver Broncos Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: WR Marvin MimsMims is flexed within a deep Denver WR room, but the Broncos second-round draft pick could potentially vault up the depth chart with an impre sive training camp. Mims is also an injury or two away from becoming a high snap share wide within Sean Paytons offense in year one. (Update:And that injury already happened with Jerry Jeudy likely to mi s the first week or two of the season due to a hamstring ailment.)Drafting Mims in the latter rounds is more of an insurance policy for Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton, but the fact Denver expended second-round draft capital gives Mims an outside chance to produce in year one. With Tim Patrick (Achilles) suffering a season-ending injury, Mims could see more run in three wide-receiver sets. --Detroit Lions Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: WR Jameson WilliamsMost of the Lions' key skill guys are properly rated, so we'll take a flier on the second-year wideout. Williams ADP takes a significant hit after getting suspended for the first six games of the season for violating the leagues gambling policy, but if youre content with Williams occupying a bench stop for the first month and a half, draft him. The Lions projected WR2 is flexed within an offense that ended 2022 scoring the fifth-most points per game (26.6) while ranking third in drop-back EPA (.174).Williams had trouble getting his name in the stat sheets in the six games he played last season after returning from an ACL injury, but the lone reception of his rookie season was a 41-yard TD) in Week 14 against Minnesota. Williams is now the Lions premier deep-ball threat with DJ Chark in Carolina, potentially leading to a few more long TD receptions this season. --Green Bay Packers Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: QB Jordan LoveLove has played in just 10 games, starting one, over his short NFL career. When he made an emergency start against the Chiefs in 2021, he completed just 55.8 percent of his pa ses for 190 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. It wasnt a perfect starting debut for Love, but he should be more comfortable as the team's unquestioned, better-prepared starter. The Packers have a ton of young pa s-catchers at wide receiver/tight end (Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, Luke Musgrave) to go with a veteran offensive line and star-studded running back duo (Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon) to help Love through his first season as a starter. Love wont be drafted in most single-QB leagues, but he could be one of the top waiver-wire adds at some point in the season. --Houston Texans Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: WR Nico CollinsWhile Houston's offense will likely rank toward the bottom of the league in most metrics come January, Collins is one of the lone Texans worth keeping your eye on from a fantasy perspective. The third-year wideout is a real threat to emerge as C.J. Strouds top receiving option after garnering a 24.3-percent target rate (27th among WRs) and boasting the second-highest contested catch rate (66.7 percent) in year two with primarily Davis Mills under center.Collins best stretch of the season came in Weeks 10-13, where he saw 36 targets and hauled in 19 receptions for 176 yards and two TDs. Collins profiles as a worthwhile late-round draft pick going off the board as the overall WR55 in PPR formats and WR61 in standard ones. --Indianapolis Colts Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: RB Evan HullUPDATE 8/29:With Jonathan Taylor (back, ankle) out for at least the first four games of the season, Hull's sleeper potential continues to rise. The Jonathan Taylor situation in Indianapolis is beyond unpredictable, and with Zack Mo s nursing a broken arm, the Indy backfield is wide open. Enter Hull, a dynamic athlete and pa s-catcher out of the backfield. He caught 55 pa ses for 546 receiving yards as a senior at Northwestern, and he added another 913 yards and five TDs on the ground. At the very least, he could start the season as Indianapolis' primary receiving back, making him an intriguing option in PPR leagues. --Jacksonville Jaguars Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: RB Tank BigsbyOut with James Robinson, in with the Tank. Come on, a guy with this name deserves to be on our sleepers list, right? At 6-0, 210 pounds, he's about the same size as Charbonnet but a bit more patient of a runner. He has strength, vision, and solid persistence through tackles, and Doug Pederson will love him as his RB2.We don't think Bigsby will explode onto the scene right away, nor do we expect that Travis Etienne's job will be in jeopardy anytime soon. But Bigsby is a fantastic handcuff at his ADP of 160, and if we drafted Etienne who mi sed all of his 2021 rookie season due to a foot injury we would absolutely lock up the Tank by the 12th round. --Kansas City Chiefs Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: WR Kadarius ToneyKansas Citys 2022 trade deadline acquisition is poised for a breakout season despite mi sing time during training camp recovering from knee surgery. The Chiefs once again sit toward the top of the league in vacated targets, with 135 WR targets available (sixth in NFL) following the departures of JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman, giving the dynamic wideout a chance to emerge as the No. 2 pa sing threat in an uber-efficient offense. Its hard not to advise fantasy owners to take a chance on a player with this type of upside, especially when Toneys going off the board as WR38 in both standard and PPR formats. Travis Kelces far and away the most lethal red-zone weapon, but a seven-plus TD campaign from Toney isnt as far-fetched as you may think. --Las Vegas Raiders Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: QB Jimmy GaroppoloGaroppolo will look to rejuvenate his career with the Raiders and Josh McDaniels, who was his old offensive coordinator in New England. Garoppolo played in just 11 games last year with the 49ers before suffering a season-ending foot injury in December. The veteran QB completed 67.2 percent of his pa ses for 2,437 yards, 16 touchdowns, and four interceptions. He will try to improve those stats in Las Vegas, where he has Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers, Hunter Renfrow, Josh Jacobs, Michael Mayer, and Austin Hooper. Its not a bad set of receivers, and if Garoppolo can stay healthy (a big "if," no doubt), he could be a JaMychal Green Jersey fringe QB1 most weeks. Derek Carr finished as the QB17 last season despite mi sing two games, and Garoppolo has a similar outlook. When he played 16 games for the 49ers in 2019, he finished as the QB14 despite attempting just 476 pa ses. To put that in perspective, Carr attempted 502 pa ses last year. --Los Angeles Chargers Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: WR Quentin JohnstonIt will likely take an injury for Johnston to see significant snaps, but gue s what -- Mike Williams (four mi sed games last year) and Keenan Allen (7) are hardly pictures of health. The 6-4, 193-pound rookie out of TCU has the size to be a red-zone contributor right away, and his career 19 ypc average in college shows he can do a lot with a little. In L.A.'s high-powered pa sing offense (third-most yards per game), Johnston has a chance to really pop when his number is called. --Los Angeles Rams Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: RB Kyren WilliamsWilliams is about as uninspiring as it gets, but who else are we gonna pick on the Rams? You could make a case for Matthew Stafford being underrated -- and rookie WR Puka Nacua is getting some preseason buzz -- but we'll go back to the well with Williams. He let everyone down during his injury-riddled rookie campaign, allowing Cam Akers to seemingly cement himself as L.A.'s workhorse back. That said, we still have a tough time fully trusting Akers, and if he struggles or gets hurt, Williams should be the next man up. Lead backs always have value, so Williams will be a must-have handcuff, at least for Akers' owners. --Miami Dolphins Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: RB De'Von AchaneUPDATE:With Jeff Wilson Jr. (midsection, finger) out for at least the first four games of the season, Achane's sleeper appeal continues to rise significantly.Achane should start the season behind 49ers-turned-Dolphins Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr., however, we're happy to grab Achane as a handcuff to either of those injury-prone veterans. Mike McDaniel is the RB whisperer and always seems to get the best of his backs save for Chase Edmonds last year so we're all over the stud rookie out of Texas A&M.Achane had 1,100 rushing yards, 196 receiving yards, and 11 total TDs last year with the Aggies. He has blistering speed with a 4.32 40 time, giving him devilish potential in the screen game, RB sweeps, and the option-and-draw game. He won't be a high-volume back, but he certainly has plenty of appeal as a Nyheim Hines or Jerick McKinnon type with added value in leagues that reward return yards. --Minnesota Vikings Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: RB Ty ChandlerChandler has plenty of promise in Minnesota's solid offense. The Tenne see-turned-UNC back rushed for nearly 1,100 yards and scored 13 ground TDs for the Tar Heels in 2021. He also caught 15 pa ses for a whopping 216 yards and a TD. He managed just 20 yards on six carries last year, but he's due for a big uptick in opportunities.Chandler has tremendous breakaway speed but also good patience to read blocks and seek out running lanes. We're prioritizing starter Alexander Mattison if we can get him in the early-middle rounds, but we're happy to end up with Chandler somewhere in the middle-to-late portion of the draft. --New England Patriots Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: RB Ezekiel ElliottWe originally had Pierre Strong Jr. here, but with the recent signing of Elliott, we're shifting to the veteran back. It's po sible he's overvalued because of his past glories, but considering he was unsigned until mid-August, we're gue sing the luster has worn off the former rushing champ.Because of that, he might actually be underrated this year. We know the Pats are willing to liberally use two backs, much to fantasy owners' chagrins, and Elliott proved last year (876 yards, 12 TDs) that he can still produce in short-yardage situations. Don't be surprised if he vultures enough TDs to pay off a mid-round flex (at least in standard leagues), and he would likely be a must-start if Rhamondre Stevenson gets hurt. --New Orleans Saints Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: D/STYou could conceivably draft the Saints, enjoy the fruitful results of their phenomenal early-season schedule, and then trade them for the Jets (more on them in a second) in Week 7 while Gang Green has the bye week.Let's look at the start-of-the-season schedule for Who Dat Nation and talk about why we like it so much: vs. Titans, @ Jerami Grant Jersey Panthers, @ Packers, vs. Buccaneers, @ Patriots, @ Texans. Now take a look at New Orleans' scheduled opponents during fantasy playoff season: vs. Giants, @ Rams, @ Bucs. There are some brutal quarterbacks in those stretches, and terrible QB play yields terrific scoring for above-average D/STs. New Orleans ranked top 10 in scoring defense (20.3 per game) and sixth in sacks (2.8) last season. Asonpoints out, "Only the Panthers dropped more INTs than the Saints did last season. Positive regre sion is coming."New York Giants Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: WR Isaiah HodginsConsidering Hodgins joined the Giants midseason after being claimed on waivers, the second-year Oregon State product emerged as a key piece in New Yorks pa sing offense, helping the Giants reach the NFC Divisional Round. While it didnt count for fantasy purposes, Hodgins' eight-catch, 105-yard, one-TD showing in the Giants wild-card win over the Vikings is a welcomed sight for his season-long prospects in 2023.Hodgins 2.13 fantasy points per target ranked seventh among all WRs, and he also showed that he can beat man coverage, posting a 56.5-percent win rate versus man. Outside of injury-prone Darren Waller seeing his fair share of looks, it remains to be seen how the Giants target share gets divvied up. Hodgins could see close to a 20-percent target share, making him a valuable late-round draft selection. --New York Jets Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: D/STMany fantasy analysts have the Jets outside their top 10 D/STs, but we're listing them seventh with a top-five ceiling. It doesn't hurt that Gang Green has 2022 Rookie of the Year cornerback Sauce Gardner, nor does having a defensive-minded head coach in Robert Saleh. Oh, and let's not forget that New York allowed the second-fewest points in the NFL last year (18.6/game)Here's why the Jets might slip in your draft and wind up becoming a steal at DST7 or later: Their first-half schedule. New York opens the season against the Bills, Cowboys, Patriots, Chiefs, Broncos, and Eagles and draws the Giants and Chargers out of their Week 7 bye. That's a murderer's row of offenses, and it wouldn't surprise us in the least if the majority of owners avoided the Jets at all costs. We're taking them seventh despite the tough schedule for a few reasons. For one, they finished 2022 as the DST10 despite having a terrible offense and enduring a plethora of injuries. New York put up solid points even in tough matchups, thanks in large part to Sauce's blanket coverage on WR1s and a halfway-decent pa s-rush that should be even better this year. --Philadelphia Eagles Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: RB Rashaad PennyEveryone seems to be low on Penny, who always seems to get hurt, but on the off chance that he remains healthy this season, his potential is through the roof in this Eagles offense. They have the best offensive line in the league, the most athletic QB in the game, and a great coaching staff. They also have D'Andre Swift, a very talented RB1 in his own right, but one who has also dealt with injuries throughout his short career.Penny looked amazing before fracturing his tibia in Week 5. Nobody had more yards per carry than his 6.1 at that time, which is wild because he averaged an NFL-best 6.3 yards per carry in 10 games the season before. For upside alone, you simply can't let Penny slip too far in drafts. --Pittsburgh Steelers Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: QB Kenny PickettPickett was one of our sleeper QBs heading into last season when he was waiting in the wings behind Mitchell Trubisky. He took over for Trubisky in Week 5 and took hold of the starting job. The former first-round pick completed 63 percent of his pa ses for 2,404 yards, seven touchdowns, and five interceptions. He also showcased his mobility, running for 237 yards and three touchdowns.Pickett wont have rushing stats like Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, or Justin Fields, but his ability to escape the pocket is an added bonus for the Steelers' offense. Pickett should improve heading into Year 2, as hell have a full offseason and training camp to work with George Pickens, Diontae Johnson, Allen Robinson, Pat Freiermuth, and Najee Harris. Last season, Pickett averaged 29.9 pa sing attempts per game, which shows how comfortable Mike Tomlin was with the young quarterback throwing the ball. Given the weapons around him, Pickett could be one of the best QB value picks in fantasy drafts this year. --San Francisco 49ers Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: QB Brock PurdyPurdy was one of the top late-season waiver pickups last season. The former Iowa State quarterback replaced an injured Jimmy Garoppolo in Week 13 and played above everybodys expectations. He finished the regular season with 1,374 pa sing yards, 13 touchdowns, and four interceptions, averaging 18.6 fantasy points per game, which is pretty good for a rookie that started the year as the third-string QB.Purdy could put up similar numbers this season, depending on his health, as hes rehabbing from a torn UCL injury. With playmakers such as George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, and Christian McCaffrey -- all of whom are great after the catch -- Purdy should be one or more productive QB2s in fantasy this season. If he stays healthy and continues to improve, he could even be a fringe every-week starter. --Seattle Seahawks Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: RB Zach CharbonnetSeattle lost the aforementioned Rashaad Penny in the offseason, and second-year back Kenneth Walker III is coming off a major injury. Charbonnet could easily see a handful of starts this season, and, at worst, will most likely be the RB2 in a talented offense.Charbonnet has plenty of talent to go with NFL-ready size and strength and great instincts. He's 6-0, 215 pounds, he breaks tackles with ease, and he always takes care of the rock. He doesn't have the burst that the other rookies we listed po se s, but he more than makes up for it with his physicality between hits and his downhill speed. Pete Carroll will love this kid, and we do, too, at his mid-round ADP. Besides, who else are we going to pick for the Seahawks? --Tampa Bay Buccaneers Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: RB Rachaad WhiteThe 2022 third-round pick flashed moments of brilliance throughout his rookie campaign, but now he gets his chance to truly shine with Leonard Fournette released by Tampa Bay in March. "Playoff Lenny" averaged 268 opportunities per season over the past two years, accumulating at least 180 rushing attempts and 83 targets in both 2021 and '22.Even if White gets 250 opportunities, we would be ecstatic. The rookie averaged 3.7 yards per carry and 5.8 yards per catch, and he hauled in 86.2 percent of his targets. When Fournette was inactive or barely featured, White stepped up admirably despite the Bucs' brutal offensive line. In Weeks 11 and 13, White combined for 186 all-purpose yards and caught all 14 of his targets.Tampa Bay made it a point to bolster its offensive line this offseason, most notably drafting guard Cody Mauch in the second round. With Baker Mayfield or Kyle Trask under center, this will not be a great team, but it will be a great opportunity for White to put up bell-cow numbers and smash his ADP. Don't expect Chase Facundo Campazzo Jersey Edmonds to interfere very much. He was a failed experiment in Miami and should only see minimal receiving work in Tampa. White is the real prize in this backfield, especially in PPR leagues. --Tenne see Titans Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: TE Chigoziem OkonkwoAlthough the addition of DeAndre Hopkins seemingly limits Okonkwos ceiling, the second-year tight end is now penciled in as the Titans TE1 thanks to a solid final stretch to his rookie campaign. From Weeks 13-18, Okonkwo sat as the overall TE7 in PPR and TE8 in standard formats, scoring 59.9 PPR points and 38.9 standard points.A suming he sees an increased snap share now that Austin Hooper is with the Raiders, Okonkwo has TE1 upside this season. Sure, sitting as the tertiary receiving option in a run-heavy offense doesnt give Okonkwo the highest ceiling, but given he led all TEs in yards per route run (3.26) and ranked second in yards per target (9.8), he might only need a three-to-four receptions per game to end the year as a top-10 TE. --Washington Commanders Best Fantasy Sleeper 2023: WR Jahan DotsonDotsons strong start to his rookie campaign (seven receptions, 99 yards, three TDs in Weeks 1-2) had him in the early conversation for Offensive Rookie of the Year, as the former first-round pick displayed a strong rapport with Carson Wentz. Following a strong start to the season that saw the Penn State product put up three double-digit fantasy point showings in four games, a hamstring injury sidelined him for five games, halting his momentum. While Dotson failed to record more than 15 receiving yards in his first three games back from injury, he finished the season on a strong note, averaging 18.8 PPR points from Weeks 13-16. That three-game stretch saw him sit as WR11 on a fantasy point-per-game basis. With Sam Howell penciled in as the teams QB1 and offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy now calling plays, a more consistent aerial attack potentially results in Dotson outperforming his ADP (WR37 PPR, WR41 STD) and putting together a strong second season. --
