Well, one of the first things that we will learn in personal development is ... “Fake it till you make it”. The affirmations technique is using the same principle. You tell yourself the same story on and on and one day you will think that is the truth. Hitler’s close friend, Goebbels used to say “Tell people 1000 times a lie and soon after they will say that is the truth” ... and you can say a lie for 1000 times to you too. I am not saying that the affirmation technique is wrong or that the idea with “fake it till you make it” is not ok, but you should always consider that you have a brain, but also a heart. And is quite easy to lie your brain, but quite difficult to say a lie to your heart. The heart is connected with the soul and lieing is the silliest thing you can do. We can pretend that we are stronger and will help, we can pretend that we are smarter ... and again, it will work ... and we can even pretend we are richer than we are ... but we cannot really pretend that we are in love or that we are happy if we are actually not. The lie can be seen in our eyes, cause the eyes are the window to our souls. It does not mean you dont have the right to try to pretend you are happy in a relationship ... but in the end being into a relationship does not mean you can also be into a love story.
